Mickey will always be associated with the West of Ireland and its coast. For over a decade, he and a crew of pioneering surfers discovered, surfed and introduced the world to Ireland's revered big waves.

Through the lens, Mickey captured images, moments, and the awesome power and beauty of the waves off Ireland’s west coast - unique images and perspective for Sailor’s Home. "This place is really close to my heart," he says. "There's just something about it that's magical."

As cinematographer and filmmaker, Mickey has worked with some of the finest wave riders and oceanic adventurers in the world. "It’s the most incredible thing. It's only achievable through time spent riding waves, all sorts of waves on all sorts of crafts, more time learning out in the water & remembering it with a photograph … or a scar."
